Dunrobin Castle can be found by Golspie traveling north on the A9 (SatNav KW10 6SF). Although it is only about an hours drive away from Dingwall, it is a very scenic route and there is a lot to see at Dunrobin Castle.
You will find it hard to find a prettier castle than Dunrobin and be delighted on how photogenic it is, every angel creating a different enchanting mood. The original build was more a fortress built in 1275 by Robert, Earl of Sutherland, but this was replaced in the 1840s by the Scottish Baronial style building we see today, Sir Charles Barry being the architect.
Parking is free, but there is an admission charge, which includes access to the castle museum (incredible antique collection of taxidermy and pictish stones), the gardens and falconry display. Please see their website for the latest prices - http://www.dunrobincastle.co.uk
The gardens are spectacular and the falconry display well worth seeing.
